Do you know what speed painting is ?

No ? then you're missing an awesome discipline! I've no words to explain that, so... just take a look at these movies :

Whereas these two drawings were made with photoshop, this last one is made with... MS Paint... just crazy !

Video Games

I'm not really fond of video games (not anymore, actually), but I try nonetheless to stay tuned. Indeed, a big work is done by the designers to imagine and create the world the characters of the game will "live" in. Thus a lot of artworks are made, and may be found on several websites, like jeuxvideopc.com for instance.

These drawings are inspired by the game Neverwinter Nights :

and this one is from Battle Realms :

Another "theft" from Kuru-Art

Here are some other drawings inspired by the work of a french artist, whose website is unfortunately down for maintenance...
Anyway, his work is really impressive, so here's my low-level tribute:

Artists I love ^^

Hi here are some artists I admire.
the first one : Benjamin.
I came across his book "remember" a year ago and I felt in love with his drawings. He's works are "digital paintings". Here are some of them. I just love the colours he uses and the "painting" effects on them.
To know more about him : http://www.xiaopan.com/

The second one (who has a quite different style but who is much more famous too) : Hyung Tae Kim (famous for his artworks of magna carta) this is some of his work:

Megatokyo

I'm really fond of Megatokyo, an online manga drawn by Fred Gallager, which story begun almost seven years ago. It is still updated every two or three days, and the story keeps going on. Basically, it describes the troubles of two young men "lost" in Tokyo, without enough money to go back to the USA... very funny !
To date, he has already drawn more than 1000 pages. His work is really impressive, and, if you ever read it from the beginning, you will truly feel his improvements : the firsts comics are actually low-key, whereas the last ones are deeply elaborate.
Anyway, I tried to draw some of his comics, and here are the results :

link to megatokyo, and the french version
tryin' to put some sound with the drawings...
yeaaaahhh, it works !!

presentation

Hello Everyone,
I've just noticed that we didn't made the presentations yet.
We are three of us posting on this blog (P.E, Adrien and myself Flo). We are actually students in Supelec (an engineering school somewhere in France near Paris ^^) and we have created this blog for our english class project. I know it's somehow odd, to do a blog with our pictures, musics for an english class ^^ but it's rather cool.
We are going to post our works, pictures that we like, musics that we are fond of...
We hope you are going to post lots of comments to express your admiration for our works :P (no I'm kidding). Seriously we hope that you'll enjoy our blog and that you'll comment to give us your opinion and your help.

traditional media : I used watercolours

This is a "traditional drawing". It's somehow unusual for me to use traditional medias (except from pencils) because it seems to me much more difficult then using digital medias(especially when I cannot "cancel" ... )
My last drawings.

cute little girls ^^"

A drawing from an aborted project of comic book. It aborted because I decided to draw something else...

"Lineart" inked drawing made before coloring

Here are drawings inspired by a comic book called "la ligue des gentlemen extraordinaire". I tried to colorize for the first time.

I tried a new style : I've started painting directly on photoshop

This is a try to make some comics : they are in black and white, because using colors is quite hard...
